Three Lines and a Painting

It all begins with an idea.

Welcome to Three Lines and a Painting

Each post is a painting and a small poem.

The form of the poem is inspired by the Japanese form of poetry known as a haiku. The sylables of each line follow a specific form 5,7,5. Sometimes I make mistakes. Let me know if they don’t follow that form. Sometimes I take liberties with how the word is said.

The paintings have also been choosen by where you can see them. They are all located in museums in the US and most along the I-95 corridor from Washington DC to Boston MA.
